Hi, my name is Dr Kim Kemp.

I am a Clinical Psychologist and I specialise in the psychological impact of physical health conditions and medical treatments and surgery.

I offer assessments and evidence based psychological therapy for adults with mild to moderate difficulties online and in Edinburgh.

How can psychological therapy help me?

Our physical health and mental health are closely linked.

Living with a visible or invisible long term illness can impact on your thoughts, feelings and behaviour and affect your relationships, wellbeing and ability to function. Psychological support can help you manage these challenges and get on with living a good life.

Psychological support can also be helpful when you are receiving medical care or surgery. Collaborating with me before and after you have medical treatment or surgery can maximise your coping strategies and recovery.

Therapy can help you understand and approach difficulties in your life in a more helpful way. Often a short course (6-8 appointments) of therapy can be enough to help you to make changes to the way you cope with difficulties in your life.

I primarily offer appointments online and in person appointments by arrangement.

In person appointments are at the South Side Centre at 86 Causewayside, Newington, EH9 1PY.
